I was recently told I don't post enough of my looser stuff. So...here is one of a series of drawings from a project I'm currently working on.

you seem to manage puting alot of feeling and tetails into grayscales. piece like "the waiting" is a great example of that. beautiful work. something thats hould be still have alot of dynamics and life to it.

Now that's just wicked. A simple background object (the tree) becomes the focal point for so much detail, magic, ambiance and texture.

I just can't keep my eyes off this piece. LOVE IT!

Agreed - this image is outstanding, there is a great deal of "colour" for a grayscale image.... (!) It's also kind of remenisant of a hand drawn Meats Meier image - excellent.

i believe that looser pieces show more talent than refined, in many ways. it shows that you can produce a quality image with a shortened amount of time and still hit key factors such as composition, and colors (or shades) appealing to the eye.

very nice job on showing the minor details in the rooted areas. i would've prolly just made it one blotch color... ;) and, i love how you've managed to show your knowledge of design and balance, mixed with basic art concepts. very nice! :)

Yea sometimes the loose art says more than a perfectly planned piece with 18 plus hours of effort put in!!.This is a very effective piece philip, your greyscales are always impressive, very nice work!'

It seems to have a bit of human shape to it , Intresting, looks as though falling off the edge but yet .. there is an out reach to it.. I love it!
