Description

Lately there's been very little time for my personal work, consequently I became stuck in a bit of an artistic rut with my professional work. After trying everything to get out of the rut, I realized the problem was that I haden't painted anything of my own. So, I set aside a couple hours and banged out a couple quick sketches. Here is one of them.

Enjoy!

Phil

This is awesome dude, allthough I sense a more futuristic style, while I like fantasy more, but I was still stunned.

wow, great one!!!! this a little blurry style really fits in a great way, althought the building looks like it would fall to the left, but the rest is simply great!

I saw it on epi not long ago. Congrats! Even though I don't know a lot about it. *shrugs*

By the way, love this piece. Like the concept, and once again your colors are amazing.

Love this piece of you, Philip.
Although it looks a little bit speedpainted, you got the athmosphere very good in here. Perhaps you should have a second look at the clouds.. I don't know why, but for me personally they are too bright in a way. It would increase the sense of being alienated, if you darken that bright blue a little bit, the picture will get more balanced out. That lightblue bites with the green/red you used not in a very positive way. Nevertheless, it's a great piece you submitted here. Worth a +10.

The color scheme is too saturated for my taste - reminds me of classical 8-bit computers color schemes :) But I appreciate the perspective and good work with light.

I know this is a sketch, but I would like to see this one refined. I get the feeling that the fuzzy bush strokes on the walkway are people, but would like to see what those people are like and what they are doing. I know you have the imagination, now if you could just find the time...
